Updated: Jul 1, 2021

Hair is one the most noticeable part of a women's beauty, it enhances her beauty, and gives her confidence. Hairstyling has a great impact on a person's personality, which may include straightening your hair or curling it. This is done by giving heat to the hair, which can cause great damage to your hair. Dying your hair, chemicals are used, which can damage your hair. To avoid this, you can use wigs that will enhance your beauty as well as keep your hair safe from any kind of damage.

Human hairs vs. synthetic

The first thing that you should consider before buying a wig is whether it should be synthetic or made of human hair? Human hair wigs are made of human hair that can be styled and used in any way. These wigs give a very natural look and are a bit expensive, while synthetic wigs are quite cheap and are made of a variety of fibers.

Length and texture

Next, you need to decide that what type of length and texture of wig you need or like. The three types of lengths are short wigs, medium-length wigs, and long wigs. Once the length is decided, the next step is to decide the texture. The textures are curly, wavy, and straight.

Face shape

The most important thing that a person should keep in mind is the shape of her face. If the face shape is oval, almost all the wig styles will suit this shape. The square face shape shall use bang wigs and shouldn't use straight wigs. Round shape face should wear shorter wigs that shouldn't cross the chin. The best choice for an oblong shape face is to use wigs that shouldn't cross your shoulder. Shorter wigs suit a heart-shaped face.

Types of wigs

There are different types of wigs that include:

Ready-made wigs: Putting on your Ready to Wear wig is simple. It comes complete with a wig cap, adjustable straps, and a pre-cut style. Once you take it out of the packaging, you'll simply trim the small amount of lace and adjust the unit to fit. You're all set!

Lace Closure wigs: A Lace closure is similar to a frontal, but with more limitations when it comes to styling. Instead of having a strip of scalp-like material (lace) that runs from ear to ear, the closure is typically a 4x4-inch patch placed on the middle, front portion of the hairpiece. A lace closure is different from a frontal because it does not cover your head from temple to temple. Instead, closures are installed in the “horseshoe” area of the head to close off the style, hence the name closure.

Closures are typically 4” X 4” but can come in slightly smaller or larger sizes. There are two types of closures: silk base closures and lace closures.

Lace front wigs: Lace frontal is a popular kind of closure hairpiece. They come in sew-in or bonded installations. Lace frontals can help you to achieve a natural look. They are often 4 inches to the back and 13 inches across, covering your hairline ear to ear. Its flexibility allows you to try out different hairstyles such as center parts, side parts, or ponytails that look natural. Lace Frontal Closure is a half wig that goes from ear to ear and is sewn with approximately 3-4 bundles of hair. The size is 13” across and 4” back. The frontal can be held in different styles and you can hold the hair back whereas the closure cannot be held back.

Full-lace wigs: A full lace wig covers the entire head and must be installed slightly differently than a lace front wig that is only attached at the front edges of your head. It is best to wear a wig cap, especially when installing a full lace wig since it will be covering your entire head.

Bang wigs: Bangs are trendy and stylish. A fringe can help to frame out the face and give a more flattering look. Bangs on wigs eliminate the need for a lace front, which some women find itchy. Fringes allow for increased styling options.

Tlace wigs: For a T part wig, you will get lace from ear to ear on the edges and in the middle of the parting space, which makes a “T” shape on the wig. The handmade lace area extends from ear to ear(13inches) same as the lace front wig but not enough lace at the back for free parting. You will only able to part in the middle.

Headband wigs: A headband wig is a type of wig that is made with a piece of material resembling a headband. The wig can be slid around the head and put into place using the headband rather than clips or other fasteners.

Upart wigs: A U-part wig is a wig with a U-shaped opening at the front that allows you to blend your leave out or attach a closure. It's a great protective style that allows for endless versatility and will save you both time and patience. If what you want doesn't exist, create it by getting crafty and making your own U-part wig.
